In 1975, Anderson Seed Company founder, Ron Anderson, literally planted the seeds that grew into a national distribution system for high quality wild bird food. A local farmer and entrepreneur, Anderson expanded his certified seed production and cleaning facility into a state-of-the-art bird food blending and packaging company.
Headquartered in the farming community of Mentor, Minnesota, Anderson Seed also maintains facilities in Durbin and Selz, North Dakota. These strategic locations allow Anderson Seed to contract with sunflower growers located throughout the fertile Red River Valley of Minnesota and North Dakota to produce the high quality bird food products your customers demand.

We control the quality of our bird food products from the time the seed is planted in the ground until it is delivered to your store
Our processing, packaging, warehousing and shipping facilities are AIB food grade certified. Our products go through a rigorous cleaning, dehulling, and sizing system and are monitored constantly for storability factors such as moisture content, temperature, insects and pests.
